The William Breman Jewish Home, now part of Jewish Home Life, was where Helen first discovered her passion for community service. Helen’s mother, Marjorie, helped to start the tradition of a monthly party to celebrate the resident’s birthdays.
Alongside her mother, Helen would attend the parties and learned the importance of honoring our seniors. As an adult, she spent many hours visiting her aunts who were residents of the Home. Helen truly had a lifelong relationship with the Home.
Seeking to make a permanent and transformative gift to the Home , our fund sponsored the renovation of the terrace level dining room into a beautiful and inviting space. Today, residents and visitors to the Jewish Home Life campus can relax and enjoy a meal at “Helen’s Place”.
