A Legacy of Giving
The Helen Marie Stern Fund was created in honor and memory of Helen, an Atlanta native who made a deep and lasting impact in our community. In the spirit and guidance of Tikkun Olam, the principle of repairing the world, our fund offers resources to help turn creative dreams into reality.

Stories of Impact
Each grant we make is in honor of Helen’s legacy and to help propel the forward-thinking causes which stirred her generous spirit. Our fund seeks out partnerships with potential grantees whose work reflects a deep commitment to Jewish ethics and values and is driven by the desire to better our community.
Atlanta Jewish Film Festival
The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival (AJFF) is a cornerstone of the community and has been engaging diverse audiences through a Jewish lens since 2000. The film festival was a great love of Helen’s and she spent many hours volunteering each year to help grow its impact and reach.
Repair the World
Repair the World exists to make volunteer service a defining part of Jewish life and provides communities with opportunities to take action. Service to the community was a significant part of Helen’s life and the efforts Repair the World was pursuing in Atlanta ideally matched the goals of the fund.
