The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival (AJFF) is a cornerstone of the community and has been engaging diverse audiences through a Jewish lens since 2000. The film festival was a great love of Helen’s and she spent many hours volunteering each year to help grow its impact and reach. AJFF Executive Director and friend of Helen, Kenny Blank shared his thoughts on Helen’s legacy with the festival;
We can think of no greater way to honor her legacy than exploring themes of culture and identity, and the values of intergroup bridge building, that Helen championed in her own life.
“A longtime, dedicated volunteer with the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, Helen’s passion and commitment to the community continues to shine through in the foundation’s generous support of our programming. Thanks to the fund that bears her name, AJFF has been able to launch a series of year-round initiatives beyond our annual festival that entertain and educate a growing and diverse audience through cinematic stories. We can think of no greater way to honor her legacy than exploring themes of culture and identity, and the values of intergroup bridge building, that Helen championed in her own life.”
